Tehran (IP) - Iran's Minister of Health reported the addition of 10,000 beds to the country's medical health system in a near future, particularly in ICUs, to expedite the treatment of Covid-19 disease.

Iran PressIran News: In his remarks on Monday in a virtual meeting with the presidents of universities of medical sciences across the country, Saeed Namaki stressed the completion of medical infrastructure projects and noted that Iran shows the world that it can both treat COVID-19 and develop its infrastructures amid sanctions. 

Namaki said that all protective items are prepared for the medical staff and stressed their protection and training. 

He urged to provide the elderly and patients with underlying diseases with the appropriate infrastructures including their drugs as well as telemedicine. 

The Iranian health minister also put emphasis on the general campaign to train people, including the isolated patients, the observation of health protocols so that the chain of infection will be cut off.
