Iran Press/Iran News: Speaking at a meeting of the Supreme Council of Economic Coordination among the heads of Iran's branches, President Hassan Rouhani said: "Despite all the problems we face in various sectors, including imports, exports, oil sales, and foreign exchange, the government is determined to work with all its power until the last moment to solve the problems and improve the living conditions of the people.”
Referring to the difficult economic and living conditions of the people due to sanctions and the outbreak of coronavirus, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani stressed the need for cooperation, empathy, and efforts of the three branches of the government for solving economic problems and improving the living conditions of the people.
Rouhani also referred to the formation of the Council following the US withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and the re-imposition of cruel sanctions against the Iranian nation as well as raging an economic war by the US, stressing the need for the readiness and coordination of all elements of the country in the fight against of the enemy's economic war.
Stating that the Supreme Council of Economic Coordination was formed to make special and appropriate decisions in specific economic conditions, the Iranian President stated: "Based on this, the decisions that need to be coordinated between the government branches, with the approval of Ayatollah Khamenei, will be binding for everyone.”
"So far, with all the existing problems, with coordination and empathy, we have been able to overcome the problems of the past, and in the coming year, the three branches of the government can together, make effective decisions for the prosperity of the country's economy,” he added.
The President expressed hope that the officials of the three branches would be able to advance the country's situation in the best way with empathy and coordination, and reduce people's problems and improve their livelihoods.
