UNESCO resolution indicates Israel isolation: Hamas

A member of Hamas International Relations Bureau appreciated the UNESCO's recent resolution against Israel as a rejection of legitimizing the regime's occupation of Palestine as well as the support of Palestinian cultural-religious heritage.

Iran Press/Middle East: Basim Naeim said the UNESCO consensus was a new testament to the isolation of the Israeli regime and the failure of the Zionist-US efforts to legitimize international participation in the settlement construction project in the Palestinian territories.

Yet Naeim asserted that the resolutions and dozens of the previous ones require practical action to be implemented in order to force the Zionist regime to respect the fixed and inalienable rights of Palestine.

UNESCO unanimously approved resolutions on Monday in support of the old city of al-Quds.

The resolution and its annexes emphasize the annulment of all destructive actions of the Israeli regime to deface the Islamic identity of the holy city.

Netanyahu had planned to annex parts of the West Bank since July 1 but postponed it due to widespread global opposition.

The annexation of parts of the West Bank to the Israeli-occupied territories is one of the clauses of the anti-Palestinian so-called 'Deal of the Century', which US President Donald Trump unveiled on January 28, 2020.

Recently, the Zionist regime of Israel has approved the development of 164 new housing units in Neve Daniel settlement to the west of the occupied West Bank city of Bethlehem.
