Tehran (IP)- In separate messages, parliament speakers of Japan, Ukraine, Bulgaria, India, and Kazakhstan congratulated Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf on his election as speaker of the Iranian parliament.

Iran Press/Iran news: In separate messages on Tuesday, parliament speaker of Japan, Ukraine, Bulgaria, India and Kazakhstan congratulated Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf on his election as speaker of the Iranian parliament and expressed hope that relations with Iran's parliament would expand in the new parliament.

"The election of His Excellency as Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly coincides with the 70th anniversary of signing Friendship Agreement between Iran and India, and this gives us a good opportunity to improve relations and strengthen our historical, civil and cultural relations, Indian Parliament Speaker Om Birla told Qalibaf.

Mullen Ashimbaev, Speaker of the Kazakh Parliament also said: I am pleased to note that parliamentary cooperation between Kazakhstan and Iran is being strengthened year by year, and I am confident that in the future, friendly relations in various fields will serve the interests of the two nations."
