Iran Press/ Iran news: "Alexander Lavrentyev ", the special representative of the Russian President on Syrian affairs, who has traveled to Tehran as the head of a delegation, met and talked with "Ali Asghar Khaji", the senior adviser of Iran's foreign minister on special political affairs, on Wednesday.
Russia’s special envoy for Syria Alexander Lavrentyev who is visiting Tehran at the head of a delegation, on Wednesday, November 1, met with Aliasghar Khaji, a senior advisor for special political issues to Iran’s foreign minister.
The two officials discussed the latest developments in Syria and the region, especially the Zionist regime’s crimes against the oppressed people of Gaza. They expressed deep concern over the Zionist regime’s massacre of Gazans in cold blood.
Khaji and Lavrentyev further called for an immediate end to the attacks, the establishment of a ceasefire and the delivery of international relief aid to the people of Gaza.
Khaji said the brutal attacks by the Zionist regime on the oppressed people of Gaza and the killing of thousands of women and children are happening due to the full support of the US, adding that these crimes cannot be described as anything but collective punishment and genocide.
In the meeting, the two sides also exchanged views over the latest political developments in Syria and the situation on the battlefield as well as the initiatives of both sides to help improve the economic and humanitarian situation and efforts aimed at pressing ahead with the political process in the Arab country.
