Germany's Federal Foreign Office said that France, Germany, and Britain were committed to maintaining Iran nuclear deal 2015 and have begun talks with Iran.

Iran Press/Europe: A spokesperson of Germany's Federal Foreign Office claimed in a statement on Saturday evening that E3 has fulfilled its commitments under the Iran nuclear deal 2015, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA),  without exception, in particular the lifting of sanctions.

The text of this statement is as follows:

Federal Foreign Office with regard to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPoA)

04.07.2020 - Press release

With regard to the statement of the High Representative of the European Union Borrell regarding the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPoA), a spokesperson of the Federal Foreign Office declared today (04.07.):

The Federal Foreign Office has taken note of the statement by EU High Representative Borrell in his capacity as coordinator of the Joint Commission of the JCPoA, dated 3 July, in which he refers to a letter from the Iranian Foreign Minister regarding the implementation of the JCPoA.

Together with France and the United Kingdom, we reaffirm our full commitment to the preservation of the JCPoA. As E3 we have fulfilled our JCPoA commitments without exception, in particular the lifting of sanctions. In our efforts to preserve the nuclear agreement, we even have even gone beyond our commitments in order to maintain legitimate trade with Iran.

On January 14th, 2020, we - together with France and the United Kingdom - initiated the Dispute Resolution Mechanism, in accordance with the JCPoA, so as to address and resolve Iran’s violations of key JCPoA commitments since July 2019. These measures, which Iran continues to implement, have grave implications for the non-proliferation goals of the JCPoA. Iran must return to full compliance with its JCPoA commitments without further delay.

As E3 we have initiated a dialogue with Iran and the remaining JCPoA participants based on a meaningful and realistic approach. We urgently await a constructive Iranian response to our efforts. We reaffirm once again our readiness to work determinedly to preserve the nuclear agreement.

This is while the promises of the European parties to the JCPOA to remove the obstacles to Iran's legal trade with European countries have been remained in words and never implemented.

The unilateral and misguided policies of the three European states (Britain, France, and Germany) participating in JCPOA and, above all, the United States to stop Iran's peaceful nuclear activities have always backfired, and Tehran is more determined to continue developing its peaceful nuclear technology.

The UN Security Council held a meeting on Tuesday, June 30 on the agenda of the UN Secretary-General's report on Resolution 2231.

Diplomatic efforts to reach a comprehensive, long-term and proper solution to the Iranian nuclear issue culminated in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA)  concluded on 14 July 2015 by China, France, Germany, the Russian Federation, the United Kingdom, the United States, the High Representative of the European Union (the E3/EU+3) and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

US President Donald Trump unilaterally withdrew his country from the international agreement on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, in violation of Washington's commitments under the JCPOA, and announced the return of nuclear sanctions.
