Iran Press/ Iran news: According to Iran press from the public relations of the General Staff of Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Mohammad Bagheri, the Chief of the Staff of the Armed Forces, first in a telephone conversation with the Russian Defense Minister, General Sergei Shoigu, stating that the actions of the fighters of the Palestinian resistance groups are within the framework of the right to legitimate defense and confront the occupation and the result of more than 70 years of oppression and cruelty against the Palestinian people and their recent cruel behavior against Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Palestinian people.
Iran's Top Military official further stated: "We are extremely concerned about the continuation of vast and brutal crises against civilians; Such barbaric behavior will not be tolerated and independent governments must react seriously to it."
The Minister of Defense of Russia also stated that his country's positions on the necessity of establishing a ceasefire and preventing harm to civilians are clear, and stated that: "Russia's initiative in the UN Security Council in this matter did not come to fruition due to the opposition of some Western countries."
Major General Bagheri added: "The continuation of the Zionist regime's crimes and the direct support and aid of some countries have made the situation more complicated and can lead to the entry of other actors into this arena."
The two sides also agreed to cooperate in relief measures.
In the same framework, Major General Bagheri had a discussion and consultation with "Khalid bin Muhammad Al-Attiyah", the Minister of Defense of Qatar.
The Chief of General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces considered the actions of the Palestinian resistance groups in self-defense as legitimate, and considered the recent action of the Palestinian fighters as a response to the oppression of the people and the audacity of the Zionist regime against the sanctities of the Muslims in the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the attack on the Palestinian priests and said:
"After observing these crimes, no silence can be justified for Muslims, and with the continuation of these barbarities, there is a probability of any reaction from the resistance groups."
Major General Bagheri, stating the role of America in directing the criminal operations of the Zionist regime, urged that countries prevent the transfer of weapons and equipment from American bases in the region to the occupied territories.
In this conversation, the two sides emphasized the necessity of cooperation in transferring humanitarian and emergency aid to the people of Gaza.
