Tehran (IP)- The representative of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement in Tehran Naser Abu Sharif said that the late Secretary-General of the movement, Ramadan Abdullah Shalah had a great role in strengthening the axis of resistance.

Iran Press/Middle East: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press News Agency on Saturday night on the sideline of the commemoration ceremony of Ramadan Abdullah, Naser Abu Sharif clarified the role of the former Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement in strengthening the Palestinian resistance.

The representative of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement in Tehran added that the founders of the Islamic Jihad movement tried to lead this movement towards national activity and on the path to the realization of the Palestinian cause and towards Islam. 

Naser Abu Sharif said that the movement had a brilliant performance under the leadership of Ramadan Abdullah in 2000, the start of the Second Intifada and that the case of the Islamic Jihad movement during his leadership was full of heroic operations.

The representative of the movement added that since 2005, the plan to organize jihadist activities in the Gaza Strip has begun, and the results of this activity have been evident in jihadist movements that fought fierce wars with Israel in 2008 and 2012.

Naser Abu Sharif emphasized the important role of Ramadan Abdullah in the development and strengthening Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement and its military structure in the face of the Zionist regime.
