Iran Press/ America: Hossein Amir-Abdollahian made the comments in an interview with IRNA and IRIB correspondents in New York.
Referring to his meetings on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, Amir-Abdollahian said: "We had a meeting with a think tank, where the US former politicians were present. There was a clear discussion of the issues between Iran and the United States."
"Among other issues, we discussed clearly the wrong approach of the US towards the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Iranian nation over the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), as well as about Ex-US President Donald Trump's withdrawal from the JCPOA and the continuation of this wrong policy by Joe Biden government in a different form and literature," Amir-Abdollahian said.
"I told the participants of the meeting that "considering the recent Iran-US agreement on prisoner swapping if the White House stops its contradictory behavior and shows its true intention and will, reaching an agreement for the return of all parties to the JCPOA and the lifting of sanctions on Iran is not far from reach," Amir Abdollahian added.
