On the 41st anniversary of the Sabra and Shatila massacre, Palestinian factions stressed that Israel’s crimes would never be subject to a statute of limitations.

Iran PressWest Asia: Several Palestinian factions condemned on Saturday the Sabra and Shatila massacre committed by the Zionist regime-backed right-wing Lebanese militias in 1982, demanding that its perpetrators be held accountable.

Hamas Spokesperson Jihad Taha said the Zionist regime massacres "will not be subject to a statute of limitations," stressing that the Palestinian people will remain committed to the right of return and its national constants until the full liberation of Palestine.

Taha stressed that all efforts to terminate the Palestinian cause by destabilizing the conditions of Palestinian refugees and revoking their right to return to their homes are miserable attempts that will not succeed.

The Hamas official underlined that the martyrdom of 5,000 people as a result of this horrific crime will continue to stand as a witness to the bloodiness and sadism of the Zionist regime, adding that the regime is a usurping entity based on terrorism and racism.

On his part, the spokesperson for the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) movement, Mohammad al-Hajj Moussa, said the Palestinian people are on the path to liberation and return to their land, stressing that the Palestinians will not forgive the crimes of the Zionist enemy and its agents.

Al-Hajj Moussa pointed out that the disturbing scenes of the crimes committed during the massacre will remain engraved in the memory, stressing that this chapter will never be closed until the occupation ceases to exist and the murderers are held accountable.

Similarly, Fatah movement Spokspeson Munther Al-Hayek said the Sabra and Shatila massacre is a complete crime carried out by criminal gangs whose goal is to end the Palestinian presence and the right to return to Palestine amid the continued silence of a world that claims freedom and justice.

Al-Hayek added that the massacre will remain a blot on everyone who facilitated and carried out the murdering of the Palestinian refugees.

In coordination with the Zionist regime forces, right-wing Lebanese militias stormed between September 16 and 18, 1982, the Sabra and Shatila camps located southwest of Lebanon’s capital city Beirut, indistinctly massacring at least 3,000 Palestinian refugees and Lebanese civilians in a brutal indiscriminate manner without sparing even women and children.
