Iran Press/ Europe: Wolfgang Sobotka President of the Austrian National Council in his message on Sunday expressed hope that the friendly parliamentary relations between the two countries continue to develop during the new administration.
Sobotka described the parliaments as "beating hearts of democracy" and stressed that inter-parliamentary dialogue plays an important role in developing trust and reducing tensions.
Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf elected as Iran's parliament speaker in the 11th term of the "Islamic Consultative Assembly" (Majlis) with 230 votes in favor on May 28.
