Pointing to Tehran-Washington's prisoner swap on August 10, earlier on Monday, Iran's Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Kanaani, expressed hope for the implementation of the agreement.
National Security Council Spokesperson Adrienne Watson confirmed the house arrest of American prisoners in Iran in August.
Watson said that close monitoring of the American prisoners' condition and their efforts would continue until their release.
Watson pointed to the ongoing Tehran-Washington negotiations over the aforementioned prisoner swap issue elsewhere.
