Tehran (IP) - The UNDP Resident Representative in the Islamic Republic of Iran stressed focalizing the opportunity on protection of the environment.

Iran PressIran News: On the sidelines of the International Conference on Combating Sand and Dust Storms in Tehran on Saturday and in an exclusive interview with Iran Press News Agency, Claudio Providas said that there is a need in mitigation of the climate change (negative) impacts.

The conference is being chaired by the Head of Iran's Department of Environment, Ali Salajegheh, in the presence of the Iranian President, Ebrahim Raisi.

The conference will continue until September 10, representatives from 50 countries and 15 international institutions participate by the international summit, and a large number of experts, university professors and representatives of executive, research, and educational institutions.
