Lahijan (IP) - The Iranian Tea History Museum is located in the city of Lahijan, Gilan Province, northern Iran, and is of interest to domestic and foreign tourists.

Tea cultivation in Iran was first started in 1940 in the city of Lahijan with the efforts of Hajj Muhammad Mirza Kashif al-Saltanah and then developed in other areas of Gilan province.

The Iranian Tea History Museum in Lahijan is the only specialized tea museum that introduces the Iranian tea industry to the tourists.

The Museum of the History of Iranian Tea is one of the most important tourist attractions in the city of Lahijan, but these days, due to the spread of the Coronavirus, it does not host tourists. 207
