Beirut (IP) - Speaking upon his arrival at the airport in Beirut, Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs told the press that the Islamic Republic wants nothing but the welfare, stability and peace for Lebanon.

Iran PressMiddle East: Hosein Amir-Abdollahian further stated: "We invite the Lebanese sides to solve the issue of the election of their president via dialogue."

Iran's top diplomat then added: "It is of course quite natural that the Lebanese and their leaders are the ones who should make decisions on the presidential election."

Amir-Abdollahian then went on to state that Tehran expects all the regional and trans-regional leaders to help pave the way to improve the economic situation in Lebanon.

Finally, Amir-Abdollahian said that Iran has always been asking God the All Mighty to provide for the Lebanese government, nation and the resistance.
