Iran's Minister of Health, in a phone call with his Iraqi counterpart, emphasized immediate treatment of the pilgrims injured in the Dhiqar traffic accident in southern Iraq.

Iran PressIran news: Iran's Health Minister, Bahram Eynollahi, in a phone call with Salih al-Hasnawi, his Iraqi counterpart, while expressing his regret for the death of a number of Arbaeen pilgrims in a traffic accident, demanded necessary measures to be taken for immediate treatment of the pilgrims injured in a traffic accident west of the city of Nasiriyah in the capital of Dhiqar province located in the south of Iraq.

A bus carrying Iranian Arbaeen pilgrims, which was traveling from Basra to Karbala, collided with a trailer on the Basra-Nasariyeh road in Dhiqar province, and seven pilgrims have died as a result.

Also, 20 passengers were injured and were taken to a hospital in Nasiriyah city.
