Tehran (IP) - Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Mohsen Baharvand stated that Iran is ready to accelerate the progress of the case of the crashed Ukrainian plane.

Iran Press/Iran News: During a phone conversation on Thursday, Baharvand and Canada's deputy minister of foreign affairs, Marta Morgan discussed the research progress of the crashed Ukrainian plane..

Referring to the large number of Iranian nationals residing in Canada and their need for the consulate services as well as the legal issues concerning the families of those killed in the incident, Baharvand called on the Canadian government to resolve the obstacles for Iranian and Canadian citizens who need the consulate services.

The Ukrainian plane en route from Tehran to the Ukrainian capital crashed shortly after departure from Tehran's main international airport on January 8 and all 167 passengers and nine crew members on board were killed.
