Iran Press/ Iran News: In continuation of his consultations in Saudi Arabia, Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian met with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Muhammed bin Salman, in Jeddah on Friday.
Stressing the cooperation chances ahead of Iran and Saudi Arabia, Amir-Abdollahian told bin Salman that the two countries could add to the prosperity of the region through cooperation in such different political, economic, and cultural ears as trade, transit, technology, and science.
Amir-Abdollahian said the way to bring success to the region is to strengthen dialogue and increase development-oriented cooperation.
He highlighted the place and role of Iran and Saudi Arabia in the Islamic world and referred to the Palestinian issue as the pivotal issue of the Islamic world while describing the Israeli regime as a joint threat to the whole region.
Muhammed bin Salman, for his part, said that Saudi Arabia considers ties with Iran strategic and that Riyadh has a serious determination to develop relations with Tehran.
Inviting the Iranian President to visit Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Crown Prince considered the meeting of the two countries' leaders important and said that such a meeting will improve and deepen bilateral and multilateral ties in the region.
Regional and international issues were also among the other issues discussed in the meeting.
Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, who is in Saudi Arabia at the head of a delegation in response to the official invitation of Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan, met today (Friday) in Jeddah with Mohammed Bin Salman Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia and discussed different issues.
