Iran Press/ Middle East: Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, who is in Saudi Arabia at the head of a delegation in response to the official invitation of Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan, met today (Friday) in Jeddah with Mohammed Bin Salman Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia and discussed different issues.
This is the first meeting between Amir-Abdollahian and Mohammed bin Salman.
The head of Iran's diplomatic system arrived in Riyadh on Thursday at the head of a delegation, and after that, he was welcomed by his Saudi counterpart by attending the Saudi Foreign Ministry, and for three and a half hours, he discussed with Faisal bin Farhan various aspects of bilateral relations, regional developments and as well as the international issues.
In the meeting with Amir-Abdollahian, the Saudi Foreign Minister stated that he is waiting for the Iranian president's visit to Riyadh and said: "All Saudi government ministries are obliged to provide a successful basis for this visit."
After that, the foreign ministers came to the journalists and explained the consultations.
In a press conference with Amir-Abdollahian, Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister emphasized Riyadh's determination to expand and strengthen bilateral relations with Iran and said that they are waiting for the visit of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Riyadh.
In this press conference in Riyadh, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran said that the relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia are on the right track and progressing, and announced the acceptance of the invitation of the King of Saudi Arabia by Raisi and added: "This trip will take place at the right time."
