Venezuela's Planning Minister Ricardo Menéndez announced that the country has received vital medical supplies and testing kits from Iran to help Venezuela in the fight against coronavirus.

Iran Press/America: This humanitarian effort came after a recent shipment of five oil tankers was sent to Caracas.

During a speech broadcast by the state TV on Sunday, the Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said that Iran, Russia, China, and Cuba are real friends of Venezuela as they provide all-round help to Caracas.

Despite US officials threatening to block Iranian oil tankers from entering Venezuela, five Iranian oil tankers have docked in Venezuelan ports past month and delivered their fuel to the crisis-hit country.

Five ships, Fortune, Forest, Faxon, Petunia, and the Clavel, carried fuel from Iran to Venezuela.

On May 24, Venezuela's envoy to the UN Samuel Moncada has welcomed the arrival of the first of five Iranian tankers in the Latin American state as a major step in its fight against foreign attacks on its sovereignty.

In recent months, the United States has sought to overthrow Venezuela's legitimate government by threatening, imposing sanctions, pressure and economic blockade, but has failed.
