Iran Press/ Iran News: During a meeting with Iranian Minister of Agriculture Mohammad Ali Nikbakht, Syrian Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade Dr. Mohammad Samer al-Khalil discussed ways to enhance the exchange of agricultural production and cooperation. They also explored opportunities for joint projects that would improve Syria's agricultural sector. Nikbakht highlighted the potential benefits of utilizing research conducted by scientific institutions affiliated with his ministry to develop Syrian agriculture.
Al-Khalil also met with Iranian Finance and Economic Affairs Minister Ehsan Khandouzi to discuss the progress made in establishing a joint bank and insurance company. Both sides emphasized the importance of streamlining money transfers to facilitate economic development and enhance trade between the two countries.
Furthermore, al-Khalil held a meeting with Iranian Oil Minister Javad Owji to review the existing cooperation between Syria and Iran in the oil sector.
In addition, al-Khalil engaged with prominent Iranian economic groups interested in investing in Syria's reconstruction phase. These meetings aimed to explore potential investment opportunities and foster economic ties between the two nations.
