Tehran(IP) - Iran's President Hassan Rouhani instructed the Governor of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) to continue his efforts to access the country's foreign exchange resources in foreign banks, using all legal capacities and tools, and with the cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Iran Press/Iran news: In a phone call with the Governor of the Central Bank on Sunday, Hassan Rouhani received a report on the latest situation of the process of providing foreign exchange for the import of basic and essential goods and emphasized the redoubled efforts of the Central Bank and other executive bodies to control inflation.

Referring to the gradual resumption of exports to neighboring countries, which had declined due to the spread of coronavirus, the Governor of the Central Bank also announced the growth of foreign exchange supply in the NIMA System and import in exchange for export.

Abdolnaser Hemmati also presented a report on the process of pursuing access to foreign exchange resources abroad and informed the President about the framework of inflationary targeting in the new monetary policy of the Central Bank.
