Amir Abdullahian: Iran support of Syria to continue to very end

Tehran (IP) - The Special Assistant to the Speaker of Iran's parliament for International Affairs has said that Iran's support of Syria will be continued to the complete failure of terrorism.

Iran PressIran news: Hossein Amir Abdullahian in a meeting with the Syrian Ambassador to Tehran Adnan Hassan Mahmoud on Tuesday, referred to the long history of relations between the two countries, said that Iran and Syria have always enjoyed the great and strategic ties.

Referring to the importance of parliamentary cooperation of Iran and Syria, AmirAbdullahian stressed that the expansion of parliamentary communications plays an effective role in developing joint cooperation and the parliamentary diplomacy of the two sides which help the realization of peace and security in the region.

Iran's senior official also highlighted the importance of Tehran-Damascus economic cooperation saying the tourism and pilgrimage tourism would be operationalized when the COVID-19 restrictions end.

Talking about the strategic cooperation among Iran Russia, and Syria Amir Abdullahian elaborated that Tehran, Moscow-Damascus would continue their strategic cooperation and fighting against the enemies' outrageous economic sanctions would be considered as the provisions of the trilateral cooperation.

For his part, Adnan Hassan Mahmoud called the ties between the two countries as the strategic one saying the Syrian government and the Syrian people appreciate Iran's effective supports.

The Syrian Ambassador also commemorated the memory of Lt. Gen Qasem Soleimani's efforts as the IRGC commander of Quds Force saying the failure of the US and its allies in the military and political arenas now is underway in the form of economic war as well as the pressure on the Syrians.

The Syrian top diplomat concluded that the country would turn out as the winner.
