Hamas issues statement on occasion of Nakba Day, rejects Deal of Century

The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) issued a statement on Thursday on the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of the 1948 Palestinian mass migration known as the Day of Nakba (disaster).

Iran Press/Middle East: In the statement, Hamas referred to the US-cooked plot of ‘Deal of the Century’ and noted that through the plot the Israeli regime seeks to annex parts of the West Bank to the occupied territories of Palestine.

The movement decisively rejected any plan that is aimed to eliminate the Palestinian issue and diminish the rights of the Palestinian nation.

Hamas also called on the Palestinian nation to commit to comprehensive resistance as an effective national strategy and national unity as the base of the fight against the Israeli regime and its plots.

The movement stressed the release of Palestinian detainees jailed in Israeli prisons as its top priority and pledged that it spares no efforts to release all of the Palestinians jailed by the enemy.

In the end, Hamas rejected any act which leads to the normalization of ties with the Israeli regime and considered it as treason and violation of the Palestinians’ rights, adding that such actions just embolden the enemy to commit more crimes against the Palestinian nation’s rights and sacred things.
