Tehran (IP) - The Head of Iran’s Blood Transfusion Organization (IBTO) stated that plasma-donation helps the patients recover from the disease, encouraging the recovered coronavirus patients to donate their plasma.

Iran Press/Iran news: In a video press conference on Sunday Peyman Eshqi said while the world has faced blood shortages, Iran even did not come close to it.

Eshqi said blood transfusion headquarters are the safest place after the home and that the headquarters in 17 provinces of Iran are active to take the plasma of those recovered from COVID-19 based on the latest global health protocols.

The health official also referred to the sanctions imposed on Iran amid the corona crisis and noted that Iran tries its best not to be impacted by the sanctions which caused obstacles like financial transit problems in supplying the coronavirus diagnosis kits.
