Tehran (IP) - The second phase of 'Pious Help' exercise began today at the holy mausoleum of late Imam Khomeini attended by Army, Basij (volunteer forces), and Seyyed-al-Shohada Corps which is in charge of Tehran province.

Iran Press/Iran News: In total, in all cities of Tehran province, 110,000 packages have been prepared with people, Basij, Army,  IRGC and the officials to be donated to those in need due to the outbreak of COVID-19

Brigadier General Hassan Hassan Zadeh, head of Tehran Seyyed-al-Shohada Corps, noted that one of the most important measures of the Basij is collecting, packaging, and donating people's help to those in need.

In an exclusive interview with IP, Gen. Hassan Zadeh said that as the Leader of the Islamic Revolution has stressed on launching Pious Help Exercise, IRGC has run a central headquarters with various branches in the country along with Tehran province’s headquarters.

Stressing that the start of the second phase of the exercise at late Imam Khomeini's mausoleum, the top military official highlighted that the first phase commenced by the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan with disturbing and donating 250,000 packages in the cities of Tehran province.

Hassan Zadeh said 110 packages are being distributed in Tehran's cities after the official ceremony at Imam Khomeini's mausoleum. 101/207
