Fight against ISIS in Iraq not finished: Seyyed Ammar Hakim

The Leader of the National Wisdom Movement of Iraq stressed that the fight against Daesh (ISIS) terrorist group is not finished yet.

Iran PressMiddle East: In a statement on Monday, Seyyed Ammar Hakim stressed the review of security cases after the escalation of the attacks of the Daesh terrorist group, especially in western Iraqi provinces.

Hakim considered it necessary to modernize security plans and increase intelligence efforts, as well as to take precautionary measures.

The Iraqi Joint Military Command has launched a large-scale security operation called 'Desert Lions' since Monday to identify, pursue, and the crackdown on the terrorist group in Anbar and Diyala provinces.

In recent days, Daesh terrorist group has made unprecedented activity compared to the last two years in the northern, western, and eastern regions of the Iraqi capital, in Salah al-Din, Diyala and Anbar provinces.
