Tabriz (IP) - The production line of Euro 4-compliant 457 diesel engines and Euro 5-EEV 355 diesel engines was launched by Iranian Diesel Engine Manufacturing (I.D.E.M) Company in Tabriz, the center of East Azarbaijan province in northwestern Iran.

Iran Press/Iran news: The production line was launched in the presence of Iran's Industry, Mining, and Trade Minister Reza Rahmani, head of Iran-Khodro Company (IKCO) Farshad Moghimi, Deputy Parliament Speaker Masoud Pezeshkian, and some officials of East Azarbaijan province on Thursday.

In the year of 'Surge in Production', named by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Euro 4-compliant 457 diesel engines and Euro 5-EEV 355 diesel engines have been manufactured for the first time by Iranian specialists in I.D.E.M Company of Tabriz. 

These engines play an important role in the surge in the production and prosperity of the Iranian automotive industry.

Iran will save 10,000 and 5,000 euros by producing each diesel engine of Euro 4-compliant 457 and Euro 5-EEV 355, respectively. 

On the occasion of International Workers' Day, the Iranian Industry, Mining, and Trade Minister Reza Rahmani praised the workers of the I.D.E.M Company by presenting flowers, saying: "87% of car components are produced in East Azarbaijan province."
