New fuel cargo enters Bushehr Nuclear Plant, southern Iran

Bushehr (IP) - The new fuel cargo for Bushehr Nuclear Plant, southern Iran, entered the plant with the cooperation of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization (IAEO) and the Russian state-owned Rosatom Company.

Iran Press/Iran news: According to the annual fuel exchange program, the new fuel cargo of Bushehr nuclear power plant will be located in the core, so that the only nuclear power plant in Iran and the Middle East will bring 1000 megawatts of safe and clean power into the national electricity grid.

The first unit of the Bushehr nuclear power plant in southern Iran was connected to Iran's national electricity grid in 2011 with a capacity of 1,000 megawatts.

Despite the difficulties and limitations created by the coronavirus outbreak, the interaction between Iran and Russia is taking place in accordance with health protocols along with the regulatory programs.

The continuation of valuable nuclear activities in the Bushehr nuclear power plant, including the production of stable power and the construction of new nuclear power plants, shows the Islamic Republic of Iran's resistance to Western oppressive sanctions, continuous and peaceful cooperation with nuclear technology owners, and the capabilities of Iranian nuclear industry experts.
