More than 170 surgeons and physicians specializing in various fields from around the world have protested against the US’ brutal and inhumane sanctions.

Iran Press/Asia: According to the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Dubai, more than 170 surgeons and doctors specializing in various fields from around the world wrote in a letter to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres that US sanctions endanger the lives of innocent people and medical staff in the fight against Coronavirus pandemic.

The doctors, who are from Sri Lanka, Iran, Philippines, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Syria, and Iraq, wrote a letter to the UN Secretary-General and the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), forcing the US government to lift unilateral and anti-human sanctions. 

The Islamic Republic of Iran has been battling with Coronavirus for the past two months, while US sanctions have created serious problems for this country in countering the disease.
