Iran Press/ Iran News: At the meeting of the Government's Economic Coordination Board on Tuesday, President Hassan Rouhani stressed the need for all government agencies to economize, as well as the need to sell surplus property and assets.
The President also stressed the importance of completing large and uncompleted projects, saying: "The completion of unfinished projects with the progress of over 80% should be seriously pursued," the official website of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran reported.
Rouhani stressed the need for more support in the field of production and industry, saying: "In the current situation, it is necessary to provide foreign exchange for basic goods, especially medicine, and the basic needs of the people and the production sector, which the related authorities should pursue."
In the rest of the meeting of the Government's Economic Coordination Board chaired by the President, the strategies for generating assets and surplus assets of governmental agencies were discussed.

International Monetary Fund (IMF) has predicted a 1.5% improvement in Iran’s economic growth for 2020 compared to 2019, amid the outbreak of coronavirus, while it said 'worst recession since Great Depression' is likely to happen in the world.
