Iran calls on releasing 500,000 Palestinian prisoners

Tehran (IP)- The Permanent Secretariat of the International Conference on Supporting Palestinian Intifada at the Iranian Parliament called for the release of 500,000 Palestinian prisoners.

Iran PressIran news: In a statement on the occasion of the Palestinian prisoners' day, the Permanent Secretariat of the International Conference in Support of the Palestinian Intifada condemned the behavior of the Zionist regime against the prisoners.

The statement said, "We commemorate this day, which is called the Day of the Captive in Palestine, and we emphasize the need for the unconditional release of 5,000 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons."

The International Conference in Support of the Palestinian Intifada's statement also strongly condemned the Zionist regime's continued crimes against humanity and the Palestinian people and the deprivation of prisoners of their basic rights and the detention of children and women."

The statement also blames the US government for giving a green light to the Zionists to act inhumanly against Palestinians by announcing the Deal of the Century.

"The Zionist regime, in the shadow of the International Community's continued silence towards the humanitarian disaster in the occupied lands and with the full support of the United States, has detained about one million Palestinians since 1967 and the regime not only has no problem with its policy, but it also is happy for following that up," the statement highlighted.
