Iran Army ready to face any threat: Defense Minister

Tehran (IP) - Iran's Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami on Wednesday said that Army is a strong supporter of the nation and is ready to face any threat.

Iran PressIran news: General Hatami congratulating the nation on the occasion of National Army Day on April 17 and said: The Iranian Army carefully monitors regional developments and has a deep understanding of ongoing events.

Islamic Republic of Iran Army Day is a national holiday of Iran, celebrated annually on April 18. The day of the Iranian Army has been celebrated since 1979.

Undoubtedly, the Islamic Republic Army is among the world's most prepared armies," Defense Minister emphasized.

The defense minister underlined that the Army's readiness has proved that the enemy will receive a crushing response if minds to invade the country. 

He noted to the vital role the Army in the establishment and survival of the 1979 Islamic Revolution and said the Iranian Army is based on Islamic ideology winning the support of people.

About Army supportive measures to deal with crises including quake, flood and coronavirus pandemic, the minister said the Army has always stood by the people.

The army built a 2,000-bed hospital in two days in line with its anti-coronavirus efforts.

As the Novel Corona Virus has spread in Iran, the Army has taken all of its capacities in treatment as well as health care services in the battle against Novel Corona Virus.

Iran’s Army has set up 7,000 convalescent care beds across the country to combat Coronavirus.
