Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant

Director of Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant stated that the plant has successfully passed the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) experts’ evaluations.

Iran Press/Iran News: Reza Banazadeh said: "In the year 1398 (starting on March 21), this power plant successfully passed the evaluation of Wano nuclear power plants (World Association of Nuclear Operators) experts, which is an important achievement and shows the expertise, ability, and sense of responsibility of Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant's employees."

Banazadeh announced on Sunday night that the Bushehr nuclear power plant, along with the world's advanced nuclear power plants, is permanently being evaluated by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and WANO experts.

He further noted that the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant halted its activity on Sunday after 300 days according to its annual plan for refueling, which will replace one-third of the plant's reactor fuel with new fuel.

According to the official, since the beginning of the operation of the first unit of the power plant, about 43 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity has been produced.
