Lt. Gen. Soleimani the first who helps Kurds to fight ISIS: Masoud Barzani

Former president of the Kurdistan Region in an interview with Saudi owned MBC channel has said that the Islamic Republic of Iran and Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani, Late Commander of IRGC Quds Force were the first ones who helped Kurds to fight ISIS.

Iran PressMiddle East: Masoud Barzani said: "when I asked him for help, he just told me 'Just Guard the city just tonight'."

This was what the Iranian Late Commander General Soleimani had told the former president of the Kurdistan Region Masoud Barzani when the ISIS fighters were closing in around the city of Erbil in 2014.

Former president of the Kurdistan Region told MBC that how five years after Iran’s General Qassem Soleimani literally saved Erbil after the Kurdish calls for help from the US, UK, France, Turkey, and Saudis went unheeded when bloodthirsty ISIS forces were on the city’s doorstep.

Former KRG President added: "So I phoned 'Haj Qassem' and tomorrow morning he delivered two cargo planes full of weapon and ammunition."

On 3 January 2020, US President Donald Trump issued a criminal order to assassinate the commander of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps Quds Force, Qassem Soleimani and his companions at Baghdad Airport.

Iranian General and the commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps, Qassem Soleimani, deputy head of Iraq's Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis along with eight others of their companions were killed in an air raid by terrorist US forces near Baghdad International Airport on Friday, 3 January.

Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani, had traveled to Iraq at the official invitation of the Iraqi government.
