Tehran (IP)- Iran’s Minister of Oil reported an agreement of a 10m-barrel-per-day decrease in oil production of the member states of OPEC and non-OPEC.

Iran Press/Iran news: Reporting the results of the 9th OPEC Plus sessions, Bijan Namdar Zanganeh said on Friday that other oil producers across the world are expected to join the agreement.

Zanganeh said in the first period (as of May 1 to the end of June, 2020) 10 million, in the second period (as of June 1 to the end of December 2020) 8 million and in the third period (as of January 1, 2021, to the April 2022) 6 million barrels per day are supposed to be decreased.

Noting that the decrease is unprecedented in the history of OPEC and non-OPEC countries, he said that such countries as the US, Canada, and Brazil are expected to join the agreement.

The draft of the final statement of the OPEC urgent meeting is to be published after the final review.
