Iran's deputy foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi , has described Benjamin Netanyahu's latest theatrical presentation as childish and laughable.

Earlier on Monday, Netanyahu  in his televised prime-time speech said Iran is lying about its nuclear program. Netanyahu gave a presentation including videos and slides about Iran’s nuclear dossier.

Deputy foreign minister Abbas Araghchi said on Monday:  "Netanyahu’s childish and ridiculous presentation was planned in the run up to Trump’s announcement about the nuclear deal.  Much of it was also a repeat of Netanyahu's past speeches."

Netanyahu claimed Iran had  been working on developing nuclear weapons, and had continued doing so even after signing the 2015 nuclear deal with six world powers.

Netanyahu's claims were made despite the fact that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), has repeatedly, at least on ten occasions, confirmed Iran's compliance with the JCPOA and the fact that Iran has honoured all of its commitments.

Araqchi said this allegation against Tehran has already been proven wrong by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), UN's nuclear watchdog.

He added that, since the Implementation of the JCPOA in January 2016, the IAEA has been monitoring Iran’s compliance with its nuclear-related commitments under the nuclear deal and has consistently and repeatedly verified the Islamic Republic of Iran's compliance.
