Tehran (IP) - Iranian Energy Minister, Reza Ardakanian on the recent developments in the energy sector of the country said that Iran for increasing independence in the field of energy is going to complete 227 major utilities projects in the next six months.

Iran PressIran news: Iran's Energy Minister in an exclusive interview with Iran Press stated that the main motivation for this trend was to show to Iranian people, to friends across the world, and to enemies that regardless of economic sanctions that have been illegally imposed on Iranians, development, and improvement of infrastructures, especially in the energy sector, are constant.

Referring to the illegal US sanctions against Iran, Ardakanian underlined: "Although we are suffering from sanctions, we tried our best to learn how to overcome the situation and to increase our independence. We are sure that our enemies will come to this conclusion that this way doesn't work on Iranian people."

440 utilities projects are now ready in different provinces for the inauguration, he added.

"Iran's Ministry of Energy is doing its best to make use of all resources such as knowledge, expertise and natural resources not only for Iran but also for our neighbor countries," Energy Minister noted.

The inauguration ceremony of 25 utility projects in 6 Iranian provinces kicked off in the Ministry of Energy with the attendance of the Minister of Energy Reza Ardekanian, his deputy for utilities Homayoon Haeeri, and Mapna Company‘s managing director Abbas Aliabadi.

In the ceremony held on Tuesday, Ardakanian said the projects are signs of tolerance and stability of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the sanction period.

The above projects are inaugurated in Tehran, Hormozgan, Fars, Bushehr, and Sistan Baloochestan provinces.
