Tehran (IP) - Iran's Energy Minister said that Iran has the potential to be the hub of energy exchange throughout the Middle East and south of Asia.

Iran Press/Iran news: Iran's Energy Minister, Reza Ardakanian said that valuable investments have been done over the past decade in Iran to make energy exchange possible with neighbor countries.

"Iran is in a geographical position that has access to potential sources in the Middle East, and it can be expanded to the south of Asia," he added.

Ardakanian went on to say that Iran can exchange energy with countries of the Persian Gulf.

"At the moment we exchange energy with some countries such as Russia, Armenia, Iraq, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, and Turkey," Energy Minister said.
