A number of top Shia clerics (and sources of emulation ) have cast their ballots just after polls opened on 8 a.m. on Friday morning.

Iran Press/Iran news: Attending the voting centers, a number of Shia sources of emulation and high-ranking clerics cast their ballots in the first minutes after the polls opened on 8 a.m. at the start of the 11th Parliamentary Elections and the first midterm elections of the fifth Assembly of Experts.

Grand Ayatollahs Nasser Makarem Shirazi, Hossein Nouri Hamedani, and Jafar Sobhani were amongst the Shia sources of emulation (also known as 'Marjah') who cast their votes and participated in the 11th Parliamentary elections.

Also early in the morning, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and Iran's President Hassan Rouhani cast their votes into the ballot box.  212/211/101
