New Delhi (IP) - Iranian Greco-Roman wrestlers won 2 gold medals one silver and one bronze on the first day of the Asian Wrestling Championships currently underway in New Delhi, India.

Iran Press/Iran news: Amin Mirzazadeh topped the podium in the 130-kg category, after overpowering his Korean rival 9-nothing.

Iran won another gold, as Pouya Naserpour defeated his Uzbek opponent 8-nothing in the 55-kg category.

Pejman Poshtam settled for Silver medal in the 77-kg category, following a 10-to-1 loss to his Kazak rival, and Meysam Delkhani pocketed bronze in the 63-kg category.

In the overall standings, Iran currently sits atop on 85 points, 5 clear of Kazakhstan, with Uzbekistan taking the 3rd spot. The competition will continue with the remaining weight categories on Wednesday.

Iran has sent 10 wrestlers to the competition.

The tournament got underway on Tuesday and runs through Feb. 23.
