Tehran (IP) - Iran's top military commander has said that the country's maritime power is related to beach residents as well as its navy equipment.

Iran PressIran news: In response to a question about determining factors in Iran's maritime power, the Navy Commander of IRGC said that there are two main factors that increase Iran's maritime power.

"The first factor is the people of Iran and beach residents. Paying attention to beach residents alongside the Persian Gulf beach or the Sea of Oman, which has over 2200 km beach width, could bring security in the region," Tangsiri explained in an exclusive interview with Iran Press.

He called Iran's navy equipment as the second major factor and said that the technology being used in them are improving continuously.

Referring to the past progress in manufacturing boats in face of brutal anti-Iran sanctions, Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri added that this factor deepens our sea power.

"While the Defense Ministry supplies both Iran's Army and IRGC with these kinds of equipment, we are also able to export our military products," he noted. 104/207
