Kuala Lumpur (IP) - Iranian people and the lovers of the Islamic Revolution residing in Kuala Lumpur marked the 41st anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution and commemorated the name and memory of the late Commander of Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani.

Iran PressIran news: The commemoration ceremony was hosted by Iran's Cultural Attaché in the capital city of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur.

Similar ceremonies were held in the capitals of England, Ukraine, Iraq, Pakistan, Russia, Bosnia and Herzegovina during which the attendants also marked the 40th-day mourning of the martyrdom of Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani, who was assassinated at Baghdad International Airport on January 3, by the direct order of US President Donald Trump.

The anniversary of the Islamic Revolution is celebrated on 22 Bahman (February 11). It commemorates the protests that led to the downfall of the Pahlavi dynasty and the installation of the Islamic Revolution headed by late Imam Khomeini.

The 41st anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution and the great march of the lovers of the Islamic system, held with the million-man participation of the people of Islamic Iran, is a celebration of the revolution and a manifestation of national solidarity.

The Islamic Revolution of Iran gained victory on February 11, 1979.
