During a news conference, Yemeni Armed Forces spokesman Yahya al-Sari provided information on recent operations by Yemeni forces and popular committees in the areas of Nihm, Marib and Jawf.

Iran Press/Middle East: The Yemeni armed forces spokesman has revealed their operation in the past few days to counter a major offensive that targeted the capital, Sana'a, and launched a counter-offensive that led to the liberation of all areas of Nihm.

In a statement issued, the armed forces confirmed that the enemy forces had inflicted heavy losses on the equipment and lives of the enemy.

The statement noted that the armed forces continued to advance to the west of Marib city, in addition to liberating a number of the districts of Marib and Jawf provinces, with a total area of more than 2,500 square kilometers in length and width.

The statement stressed that "Al-Bonyan al-Marsoos" operation of the armed forces killed, injured, captured thousands of enemy forces, and defeated the forces stationed in Nihm, consisting of 17 military brigades and twenty battalions, and fully seized their equipment.

Two brigades of the so-called third military zone stationed in the Sirwah district of Marib had been defeated, and three brigades of the so-called sixth military area stationed in Jawf, the armed forces statement indicated.

The armed forces allowed hundreds of enemy forces to flee in the implementation of the directions of the leadership and to preserve the blood of those who decided to leave the battle from the mercenary of the aggression.

The armed forces appreciated the responsible role of collaborators from the people of Nihm and the governorates of Ma'rib and Jawf, history and civilization, and their free and loyal tribes for their values and principles in rejecting the invaders and occupiers.
