5.2 magnitude earthquake strike southwestern Iran

A 5.2 magnitude earthquake hit Iran's Fars Province on Monday evening local time with no immediate reports about damage or casualties.

Iran PressIran news: According to the Seismological Center of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, the tremor occurred at 16:58 hours local time (13:28 GMT).

The epicenter of the earthquake was located 41 km west of Shiraz near the town of Khane Zenian.

There have been no immediate reports about damage or casualties caused by the earthquake.
