Iran Press/Iran news: The commemoration ceremony for the victims of the recent Ukrainian passenger plane crash was held on Tuesday at the Sharif University of Technology in the Iranian capital of Tehran.
Based on the reports,16 graduates at the Sharif University of Technology were among the victims of the incident, Iran Press reported.
At the ceremony, Sharif University students lit candles to commemorate the memory of those who have lost their lives, especially their classmates.
The Boeing 737-800 plane belonging to Ukraine International Airlines crashed near Tehran minutes after the plane had taken-off from Imam Khomeini International Airport in the early hours of January 8.
All the 167 passengers and 9 crew members on board were killed in the tragic incident.
Iran acknowledged it unintentionally shot down the plane and the incident was based on a human error.
