Tehran (IP)- Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, called the assassination of Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani as US strategic mistake, saying it has changed strategic equation in West Asia.

Iran Press/ Iran News: Speaking at a meeting of the political and strategic aspects of the consequences of the assassination of Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani at the Foreign Relations College of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Iranian capital of Tehran, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi reiterated that the assassination of Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani has ended in creation of the turning point in the West Asian Region with geopolitical consequences.

Iran's Araghchi referred to Iran's missile attack on US Ain al-Asad airbase in Iraq stressing that Iran's powerful blow to the US has changed Strategic equations in West Asia.

Iran's top diplomat went on to stress that the greatest change in regional equations occurred when the US was not able to respond to Iran's Missile attack on the US military base.

Referring to the fact that the martyrdom of Lt. Gen. Qasem Soleimani does have positive consequences, Araghchi said that the assassination of martyred Lt. Gen. Qasem Soleimani has had three effects in the following areas: Resistance axis, fighting against ISIS led terrorism and Iran-US balance of power.

Stressing the fact that the motivation behind the regional Resistance has been increased after Lt. Gen. Qasem Soleimani's assassination stressed that those who got happy with this should know that martyrdom of this commander will be ended in more power for Resistance movement.
