French Secretary of State for European Affairs referred to Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani's assassination and said that what is happening is what we feared.

Iran PressIran news: French Secretary of State for European Affairs Amelie de Montchalin said on Friday that Qasem Soleimani's assassination is what we feared and the tensions between the United States and Iran are increasing, the priority is to stabilize the region.

The minister said top French officials would make high-level contacts with senior players in the region.

Martyred Lieutenant General Soleimani was assassinated along with several senior members of Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) on Friday Morning 3 January at Baghdad International airport.

Lieutenant General Soleimani was awarded by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei as the first Iranian military official to hold Iran’s highest military order, the Order of Zulfaqar after the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Lieutenant General Soleimani has been named in the list of top Global Thinkers in the defense and security in Foreign Policy (FP)’s 2019.
