Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism (ADVT) urged the world's religious leaders and elites to prevent terrorists' abuse of religion for their goals.

Iran Press/Iran News: In a statement on Sunday, ADVT announced: "Killing and injuring hundreds of innocent people in Yemen, Afghanistan, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, and Somalia, coincided with the Birthday of Jesus Christ (PBUH), the Prophet of kindness, again proves that terrorism, under any title, is considered as a tool to ensure the interests of the hegemonic powers system that feel no fear of crimes in the path through abusing sacred beliefs."

It stressed that the roots of insecurity and criminal acts must be searched for in the 'New World Order' plans, adding that the hegemonic system nurtures terrorism to dominate the strategic resources such as oil, to boost its arms industry, and to hider the progress of the developing countries.

ADVT called on the world's elites and religious leaders to enlighten and justify public opinion to prevent terrorists from abusing religion and to isolate terrorism in Asia and Africa.

The Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism (ADVT) is an NGO established in 2007, the members of which are the offspring and families of the victims of terrorism.
