Yemeni Army targets Saudi base in Najran by ballistic missile

The Yemeni army hit a Saudi border guard base in Najran with a ballistic missile that killed and wounded dozens of Saudi forces.

Iran PressIran news: The spokesman for Yemen's armed forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, said Friday the missile was a Badr P-1 which hit Bir Askar camp in Saudi Arabia’s Najran.

The missile has killed and injured tens of Saudi military personnel, General Saree announced.

The top general said the Friday attack was in retaliation for Saudi airstrikes against the innocent people of Yemen in the mountainous northwestern province of Saada on Tuesday.

The United Nations has strongly condemned the recent attack against a popular market in Yemen’s mountainous northwestern province of Sa’adah, describing it as the third deadly assault on the same location in just over a month, without saying who was responsible for the incident or what weaponry was used.

The world body said in a statement that the attack on the Ar-Raqou market in the Munabbih district of the province on Tuesday claimed the lives of seventeen civilians and that 12 of those killed were Ethiopian migrants.

“The attacks on Ar-Raqou market raise deeply troubling questions about the commitment of the parties to the conflict to uphold international humanitarian law,” Lise Grande, the UN Resident, and Humanitarian Coordinator in Yemen said.

The Saudi attack on the al-Raqou market in the Monabbih district of the province claimed the lives of 17 civilians. Back on November 22, a Saudi airstrike on the al-Raqou market killed 10 civilians.   205/211
